Dream Kitchen Live Quadraphonic Recording

Dream Kitchen presents a Live Quadraphonic Recording on Saturday, September 23rd at The Dome Center for Art, Music and Dance.

We will be recording live to analog tape in “Discrete Quadraphonic” sound, a rare four-channel audio format popular in the 1970s, to capture the band's energy and improvisational prowess in a stunningly immersive soundscape. Quadraphonic sound uses four speakers to create a three-dimensional soundscape.

Pianist Joyce McBride’s compositions are featured, along with improvisations (in-the-moment compositions) by the band, plus music by the late great jazz luminary and inspiring force, Wayne Shorter. And a Beatles song. What more could you ask?
